  • How do I choose a good password?

Passwords are used to protect your accounts and possessions. Therefore, choose a combination of letters and numbers.

The nine golden rules for a good password are given here below:

    1. Never use a simple combination (birth date, wedding anniversary,...)
    2. A password is a minimum of 10 and a maximum 15 characters long.
    3. The password may only include a combination of the following characters: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 0123456789 @#*/_-?$%&()+<=>
    4. The same character may not be used 3 consecutive times.
    5. The password must include at least 6 different characters
    6. The password must contain a mixture of letters and numbers or other characters (min. 1 of each).
    7. The password must not have a logical sequence of more than 6 characters. E.g. sequential keys on the keyboard (azertyuiop) or sequential numbers (2345678).
    8. Your password is personal and must not be given to anyone or written down anywhere.
    9. Your access password and confirmation code should be different.
